He Wore Black, a Johnny Cash Tribute

PRESENTED BY DCM PRODUCTIONS LTD

DCM Productions, LTD in association with Castle Rock Entertainment Group LLC presents a tribute concert to the Legendary Johnny Cash.

“He Wore Black, a Johnny Cash Tribute Concert” is filled with stories, memories, and songs of the Man In Black, Johnny Cash, as told and performed by local Castle Rock, Colorado musician & Cash historian, David Chapa, as well as Johnny Cash's one and only drummer of nearly 4 decades, the legendary WS "Fluke" Holland supported by the entire He Wore Black band.

LOCATION:
PACE Center

SHOWTIME:
June 30 - 7:00 PM
Fluke, as he is known, first played drums for the great Carl Perkins and can be heard on all Perkins’ Sun recordings including the first 1 million record selling hit on Sun Records, Blue Suede Shoes as well as the recordings of the “Million Dollar Quartet” made up of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis.  Fluke was there with John when his career began to skyrocket after signing with Columbia Records in 1958 and by 1960, Johnny Cash asked him to join the Johnny Cash Show, where he performed with John until Cash’s retirement from touring in 1997.  This is a show like none other you have seen before.

A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to the Love In Action charity fund through Front Range Church designated to help families in need throughout Douglas County, Colorado.

“I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down,
Livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town.”Johnny Cash

“David's spot on performance of each legendary Cash song takes me back to so many treasured times during my nearly four decades working with John” – WS “Fluke” Holland, drummer for Johnny Cash

“We work with Johnny Cash tribute artists around the world year after year, but no artist we know puts the time, dedication and talent into their shows like David Chapa.” – Ron Haney, Music Director/Lead Guitarist for WS Holland Band
